Scaling to Support Client’s Successful Marketing Campaign



ModCloth, an online women’s apparel retailer, sought to thank its customers and encourage future orders with a new campaign. The Los Angeles- based E-Tailer (online retailer) designed a 2-sided coupon to pack with outgoing orders from its Pittsburgh-based fulfillment facility.


ModCloth inserted a limited time, site wide coupon for a 25% off discount; each required a unique code. ModCloth needed to print a different number of coupons every week based on outgoing orders. ModCloth began printing coupons in Los Angeles but incurred high costs when shipping pallets of coupons to Pennsylvania.


Eric Ward, Marketing Manager, sought a responsive, Pittsburgh-based printer that could nimbly scale to the order quantities of ModCloth. They selected Print Tech. Ward comments “Print Tech is very dependable for its on-time and high-quality deliveries.”


The coupons are very successful with redemption rates of 6%, well above industry averages. The program delivers returns that are 10-15 times the program’s costs.
